- Campaigns and ad groups created (In‑stream / In‑feed / Shorts)
- Conversion tracking connected
- Budgets, locations, and brand safety set
How it works
Your video plays before or within YouTube content. You pay when someone watches or clicks, depending on the format.
KBR Tip: Let campaigns run for 7 days before changing budgets or videos. The system needs time to learn.
Weekly check
Check your results
- Go to ads.google.com
- Look at three key metrics:
- Views — number of video views
- View rate (VTR) — views ÷ impressions
- Conversions — enquiries or site actions
Make simple updates
- Increase budget: campaign → Settings → Budget → raise by 10–20%.
- Swap the video if view rate drops.
- Try Shorts (vertical 9:16) for extra reach.
KBR Tip: Good VTR is often 20%+ for in‑feed and 15%+ for in‑stream. Use trends, not single days.
